How is everyone doing?
I have to admit that I’m finding blogging difficult at the moment. I’m trying my best, but there are times when it feels like a chore, and that’s never a good sign. I’ve taken a little break this week, so hopefully I can go into May feeling refreshed and rejuvenated and raring to go! Are you convinced? No, me neither! 😕
I posted eight reviews in March, and absolutely loved so many of these books that it was difficult to choose just three of my favourites this month.
My other reviews included:
- The Silent Treatment by Abbie Greaves
- Little Eyes by Samanta Schweblin
- In the Labyrinth of Drakes by Marie Brennan
- Wine Girl by Victoria James
- Dear Child by Romy Hausmann
I also took part in Dewey’s 24-Hour Readathon, and posted my opening survey and wrap up posts.

Yep, I’m still comfort-buying books buying books to support indie booksellers! I am at least clearing down my backlist. It’s slow going, but I’m making sure I read at least a couple of my oldest books (by date of purchase) each month.
I’ve been comfort buying books too! Looks like a good reading month. Happy reading in May! 🙂
Very important right now – got to do what we can to make ourselves happy! 😀
I’m struggling a bit too. I thought I’d be flying through books with nothing much else to do, but it’s not happening. Hopefully things will pick up…
I’m finding reading hit and miss as well – nothing to do with the books, more that I’m finding myself not in the mood for reading more than I’m used to. It comes and goes… Here’s to a happy, book-filled May!
Yes, indeed. Here’s hoping 🙂
I know the feeling let’s hope May is a much better month all round xx
Fingers crossed, Nicki! x
You read great books. I hope May is much better both in terms of reading and blogging.
Thank you! x
