Would you believe it?! I’m actually posting my monthly wrap up on the first of the month for once. It’s not unprecedented, but it has been a while since it’s happened!
I’ve been going into the office two days a week this month, pretty much for the first time since I joined the company in November last year. It’s been nice to meet the people I’ve been working with, although it’s fair to say that I have not missed commuting!
It’s started to feel properly autumnal of late. I personally love this time of year โ I love the excuse to dig out my boots and cosy jumpers! The colder weather is also a great excuse to stay in and read of an evening. That said, I don’t need much excuse if I’m completely honest! ๐
September was an ok month for reading. I’m still struggling to read as much as I did, and I’ve been quite ruthless with my DNFs this month. I’ve also been quite slack at writing up my reviews, and must try harder to keep on top of things! ๐ฌ

I also posted my 20 Books of Summer wrap up post (having successfully completed the challenge this year!) as well as my predictions for this year’s Booker Prize shortlist and the actual shortlist once it was announced a few days later.
Incoming!
I received one book for review this month, and it’s one that I can’t wait to get read:
And purchased seven…

TBR Watch
Hurrah! My TBR has reduced this month. Not by much, granted, but it has reduced!
- Books out = 8 read + 3 DNF* = 11
- Books in = 1 ARCs + 7 purchases = 8
- Equals a reduction of 3 in my TBR
*I may come back to some of the DNFs at a later date, but for now they have been removed from my TBR.
I read The Man Who Died Twice this month. Hope you enjoy it. The Leviathan sounds good too!
I’ve seen a lot of reviews for The Man Who Died Twice, and all of them favourable! ๐
I loved The Man Who Died Twice so much that I bought the special Waterstones edition. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did! xx
Thank you, Nicki! I loved the first one, so have high hopes for it ๐
I’m way behind with my reviews too. Have also been getting more ruthless with books that have been hanging around for years
It’s a losing battle, isn’t it?
I’m afraid so. I did a post on the blog about this a while ago and had some really helpful comments that I’m trying to apply
I’ve made an effort to get caught up this weekend, and so I now just need to stay on top of things, although that’s easier said than done! ๐
Oh well done. Wish I could say the same
It won’t last! ๐
