Finally, it’s over. To say that January dragged doesn’t even begin to cover it. It’s not my favourite month at the best of times – it’s dark, the excitement of Christmas is over, and there seems to be little to look forward to. Add COVID and lockdown into the mix and… well, let’s just say that I’m glad it’s time to move on.

These are the books I received for review this month:
And the books I bought:
TBR Watch 🕵🏻♀️
I’m trying really hard to read more than I buy in an effort to reduce my TBR. I’ve done quite well this month, but who can say how long it will last…
- Books out = 10 read + 4 DNF = 14*
- Books in = 4 ARCs + 5 purchases = 9
- Equals a reduction of 5 in my TBR!
*4 DNFs in a month is more than usual, and a reflection of the January blues I’ve experienced this last month. There are books here that I may come back to at a later date, but for now they have been removed from my TBR.
I seem to be DNF’ing way more books than I used to as well. I don’t know if it’s me or the books.
In my case, it’s me 😂 I just seem to have less tolerance at the moment. And I’ve already had 1 DNF this month, so not sure it’s actually any better yet… 😬
