November featured many wonderful bookish moments, including a visit to the newly opened Barrister’s Book Chamber in Matlock on their opening day. This is a fantastic shop full of vintage and second-hand books, and I can see myself popping in there quite regularly 😀 I also had a lovely weekend in Hay-on-Wye (not for the Winter Weekend, sadly) for my birthday, where I may have picked up a book or three! 😉
I haven’t been as active on my blog this month – I got to the point where I just needed a little break from it. I still managed to post 8 times, and my favourites of those reviewed were:
- The Lingering by S. J. I. Holliday
- Darkdawn by Jay Kristoff
- No Way Out by Cara Hunter
- The Voyage of the Basilisk by Marie Brennan
The astute amongst you will notice that I usually pick my top three rather than four, but I just couldn’t narrow it down any further this month!
I also posted reviews of:
I also posted a set of mini reviews covering October’s readathon where I talk about Water Shall Refuse Them by Lucie McKnight Hardy, Things We Say in the Dark by Kirsty Logan, and Little Eve by Catriona Ward.
Well, my TBR has taken a little bit of a hit this month, as a result of visiting both Hay-on-Wye as well as the new bookshop in Matlock. It’s still much lower than the start of the year though, so I’ll take that as progress!
