April has definitely been a better month than March, and I’m now well and truly over my reading slump, thanks to a few excellent novels I’ve read recently. I’m also getting back into the swing of things blogging wise, too! 😀
I posted seven reviews in April, and the standout novels were:
- All Among the Barley by Melissa Harrison
- The Island by Ragnar Jónasson
- Blood & Sugar by Laura Shepherd-Robinson
The other novels I reviewed were:
- Wakenhyrst by Michelle Paver
- Star Crossed by Minnie Darke
- Only Human by Sylvain Neuvel
- My Lovely Wife by Samantha Downing
I also wrote up a summary of Dewey’s 24 Readathon, which is one of my favourite bookish events, being an excuse to sit and read for a weekend! 😀
TBR Watch
I’ve been so good this month, and I’ve only bought four books! I received a few books to review as well, but my TBR continues to come down nicely. Of course, May brings with it the Hay Festival, and I fully expect my numbers to increase dramatically as a result!
Glad you’re out of your reading slump!
Me too! 😂
I had a really slow March too! Glad you got your swing back!
Thank you! 😀
