Another busy month. It started with a work trip to Stockholm which was a lot of fun. I met colleagues that I’d only exchanged emails or Teams messages with previously, and as well as having various meetings and workshops, we also had an evening out together, including a visit to a Viking bar for some mead.
My other half and I also visited Munich. I’d love to say that this was a cultural trip, but we were there for Oktoberfest. To get into the spirit of things, we hired traditional costumes, and I’ve come to the conclusion that a dirndl is a good look for me. Not so good that I’m going to share any pictures though – you’ll just have to take my word for it! 😋
With all of that going on, I didn’t read as much as normal this month, although I did at least manage to blog occasionally.
My favourite books this month
- The Names by Florence Knapp
- One Yellow Eye by Leigh Radford
- Murder at Gulls Nest by Jess Kidd
I also read / reviewed:
- No Friend to This House by Natalie Haynes
- The Final Vow by M. W. Craven
- Fire and Blood by George R. R. Martin
- All the Colours of the Dark by Chris Whitaker
- The Sleepwalkers by Scarlett Thomas
- The Burial Plot by Elizabeth Macneal

And that’s my bookish month! Happy reading! 🩷

That sounds like a great month. Wish you hasn’t mentioned the dirndl though, if you’re not going to share pictures. I might be imagining all sorts of things 😜.
🤣🤣🤣
What a fab month, Jo! x
