Monthly Wrap Up

The month that was… July 2025

July was fun! The highlight for me was a trip to Lake Garda in Italy. It’s a beautiful location, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. My other half and I planned a few trips and activities in advance, including a cooking class (the menu was fairly predictable but great fun as we made a pasta, pesto, a tomato sauce, and tiramisu), wine tasting, and a sight-seeing boat trip with an option to swim in the lake! It wasn’t as cold as I thought it might be!

That week’s holiday gave me a little more time than usual to sit back and relax with a book, and I’m sure you’ve all noticed that I devoured Jo Callaghan’s excellent Kat and Lock series. What is perhaps more surprising is that I’ve been much better at blogging this month! I’ve still got some work to do to complete 15 Books of Summer and if I’m honest, I think it’s a stretch, but I’m going to have a damn good go at it!

My favourite books this month

No surprises here!

I also read / reviewed:

  • The Mercy Chair by M. W. Craven
  • Good Girl Bad Girl by Michael Robotham
  • Prima Facie by Suzie Miller
  • Just One Damned Thing After Another by Jodi Taylor
  • Alien Earths: The Search for Life in the Cosmos by Lisa Kaltenegger
  • The Art of a Lie by Laura Shepherd-Robinson

Books acquired

Still no sign of restraint! I really must get my TBR under control! 😬

TBR Watch

I largely said balls to the backlist this month! 😂

And that’s my bookish month! Happy reading! 🩷

What do you think my chances are of showing some restraint this month?! 🤣
