This will be a relatively brief post as, after making great progress in Novel Knight’s BTB Challenge in April, I’ve not read a single title from my backlist this month! π¦
This means that my backlist still numbers 30 titles.
TBR Watch
To make matters worse, I bought a phenomenal number of books in May, meaning that my TBR has taken a turn for the worse (or better, depending on your perspective π )
So, no new books for me for a while!
No new books, eh? Sure! π
My thoughts exactly! π
Takes one to know one, doesn’t it? π
You guys know me so well! π
Yeah, I know π I think my optimism got the better of me for a minute there!
NO NEW BOOKS!! Good luck, I’m pulling for ya π
Yeah, I don’t believe it either! I will try to at least buy fewer than I read though…
Baby steps!
Good luck! Right now I’m trying not to put any more books on hold at the library – 11 days and counting! π Plus I’m trying not to add to my Goodreads TBR until I make a sizeable dent. So tough!
It sounds like you’ve made a great start! I think that, realistically, I won’t be able to go a month without making any new acquisitions, but if I can keep the number down, then gradually my TBR will decrease. That’s the plan, anyway!
Haha if you knew how many bloggers posts I’ve written (and read) proclaiming no new books…
π Yeah – it’s an optimistic statement, and I’m not holding out too much hope!
Ooh, I love your little chart! There’s nothing quite like turning the TBR into a chart for giving a sense of satisfaction! It’s as much fun as creating a new spreadsheet… oh, I’m sorry! I’ll take my geeky nerdiness home now, and put it back in its box… π
Hee hee! I do love my geeky spreadsheets, and the chart is deeply satisfying, despite what it shows! π
No new books just never seems to work out for me π
No, me neither! π
