Beat the Backlist Challenge Update

beat-the-backlist-2017

This will be a relatively brief post as, after making great progress in Novel Knight’s BTB Challenge in April, I’ve not read a single title from my backlist this month! 😦

This means that my backlist still numbers 30 titles.

TBR Watch

To make matters worse, I bought a phenomenal number of books in May, meaning that my TBR has taken a turn for the worse (or better, depending on your perspective πŸ˜‰ )

TBR 1 Jun 17

So, no new books for me for a while!

    1. Yeah, I don’t believe it either! I will try to at least buy fewer than I read though…

  1. Good luck! Right now I’m trying not to put any more books on hold at the library – 11 days and counting! πŸ™‚ Plus I’m trying not to add to my Goodreads TBR until I make a sizeable dent. So tough!

    1. It sounds like you’ve made a great start! I think that, realistically, I won’t be able to go a month without making any new acquisitions, but if I can keep the number down, then gradually my TBR will decrease. That’s the plan, anyway!

    1. πŸ˜‚ Yeah – it’s an optimistic statement, and I’m not holding out too much hope!

  2. Ooh, I love your little chart! There’s nothing quite like turning the TBR into a chart for giving a sense of satisfaction! It’s as much fun as creating a new spreadsheet… oh, I’m sorry! I’ll take my geeky nerdiness home now, and put it back in its box… πŸ˜‰

    1. Hee hee! I do love my geeky spreadsheets, and the chart is deeply satisfying, despite what it shows! πŸ˜‚
